Digicon Achieves Cisco Cloud Application Integrator Designation

Recognized for Expertise in Building End-to-End Cisco Cloud Solutions

HERNDON, VA, October 25, 2011 - Cisco Systems recently awarded Digicon Corporation, an Information Technology service provider in the nation’s capital, with the Cisco Cloud Builder designation to support the expanding role of cloud-based solutions that leverage the intelligence of the network.  

Cisco grants the Cisco Cloud Builder label to solution providers who design and implement cloud infrastructures using Cisco hardware. Digicon deploys and hosts public, private, and hybrid clouds through Virtual Presence^®. According to Cisco, the designation "builder" validates Digicon’s competency in three aspects of building clouds: infrastructure, management applications, and cloud professional services.

This designation recognizes Digicon’s Virtual Presence competencies to sell and implement Cisco-centric, end-to-end cloud solutions for end customers and/or cloud providers. As a designated Cloud Builder Partner, Digicon has required competencies and expertise across all cloud infrastructure components (security, networking, compute, storage, and virtualization), cloud management applications, and a formal cloud professional services practice.
